The Design Process

Step 1: DECIDE ON YOUR FAVOURITE INVITATION

We have two design options available for wedding stationery: 
1. STANDARD DESIGNS: Choose one of our existing catalogue designs - 1 hour design time included, or
2. COUTURE DESIGNS: We can custom design your stationery - 3 to 5 hours from start to finish - depending on your needs and the amount of design time spent on your creation, as well as the extent of amendments requested.

Step 3: ORDER FORM & WORDING SUGGESTIONS

On receipt of your deposit, we will e-mail a link to our order form and an invitation wording manual with guidelines, etiquette and suggestions for you to compile your invitation wording. Design will only begin after we have received your fully completed order form.

Step 4: DIGITAL MOCKUP: REVIEW & APPROVE THE PROOF

Based on your briefing we design a digital mock-up which we will e-mail to you. You will then have the opportunity to provide feedback and identify any changes you wish to make. The changes are integrated into a revised version that is submitted for your written approval. Your first set of changes is free of charge. Thereafter, every set of amendments will be charged at R250 per set. Please take extra care when proofreading, as once you have approved the digital proof, Elsje Designs is not responsible for any errors.

Step 5: PHYSICAL MOCKUP: FINAL APPROVAL & SIGN-OFF

After you have approved the digital artwork in writing - the layout, font, spelling and punctuation - we make a physical mock-up. Your first mock up is included free of charge, any additional mock ups will be charged at a set fee of R250 each. Photographs can be emailed to you or your mock up can be signed off at the studio.

Step 6: PRINT, PRODUCTION & PICK-UP

Upon your final approval of the physical mock up, we will order paper and other materials for the production process to commence. We will complete work within 5 to 7 working days of receipt of your approved artwork. The outstanding balance will be due on collection of your stationery or before you arrange collection.
